top 10 movie sword fights – #1: inigo vs. westley

inigo-westley

He is Inigo Montoya, you killed his father, prepare to die.

From the dialogue … to the intentional hilarity … to the perfect choreography … to the honor … to the flimsy plastic swords that shimmy during battle …

It all adds up to the perfect movie sword fight. Courtesy of 1987’s The Princess Bride.

[also, Robin Wright-(before-Penn) was hot in 1987 … and any movie that puts Andre the Giant in a speaking role gets bonus points]

Inigo Montoya vs. Westley… very nice.

An eruption of sound from strips 5-8

The Harvard women have clinched a championship trophy as a result of the Round 6 final scores… but there is a development brewing in the Yale v. Penn Men’s match. The Quakers are trying for an undefeated team season and the outright championship…

The battle is getting heated… and off in the distance a loud eruption has taken place.

Is the unblemished record intact? Or did Yale just pull a stunner?

[We call that a teaser]
